1. Val Thorens, the highest resort in Europe

Val Thorens is a special resort, its village is located at 2300 meters of altitude, which makes it the highest resort in Europe. It is part of the huge ski area of the 3 valleys with Courchevel, Meribel, or the Menuires grouping more than 344 tracks (600 km of track). Of course, the resort offers two types of ski passes: a 3 Valleys ski pass to cover the whole area, and a Val Thorens-Orelle ski pass which covers 155 km of runs. As for the facilities available, there is a boardercross, a snowpark, a family park for beginners, cross-country skiing and tobogganing trails and much more! With its multitude of possibilities, Val Thorens is an essential ski resort in the Alps.

2. Tignes, the resort for sportsmen!

Tignes, has an international reputation thanks to its ski area Tignes/Val d'Isère (formerly called "Espace Killy") hosting the 1992 Olympic Games and, more recently, the X-games Europe in 2014.

This area extends over 300 km of slopes. The highest point is the Grande-Motte glacier at 3456 meters.

In Tignes, the snow is often ideal, and the slopes are very varied. A domain that should satisfy the greatest athletes with its 23 black slopes, the amateur sportsmen with its 42 blue slopes and the beginners with its 23 green slopes. The resort also offers many sports activities such as ice diving, hiking or climbing. Its enormous vertical drop will allow you to explore many sites and varied landscapes going from the glacier of the big motte to the glacier of Pisaillas and its 5 villages.

3. La Plagne, an embarrassment of riches

This resort has eleven village resorts in total and offers a skiable area of 225 km of alpine ski slopes. It has since acquired a worldwide reputation due to its vast ski area accessible to all levels called Paradiski. The area is ideal for beginners with its 10 green runs and 70 blue runs. Experienced skiers will not be left out, Paradiski also has 33 red runs and 18 black runs.

The resort has a number of activities for everyone such as hiking, ice skating, ice climbing, sledding (for adults and children) and much more. La Plagne offers you charming villages, plenty of snow and a peak of 3000 meters high!

4. Alpe d'Huez, closer to the Sun!

The resort of Alpe d'Huez, facing south, enjoys a total sunshine. Called "the island in the sun", its altitude allows a constant snow cover and plenty of snow. Located at 1860 meters of altitude, the resort has a significant difference in altitude of 1440 meters. Indeed, the highest point of the resort is at 3300 meters, at the top of the Pic Blanc.

5. Courchevel, 6 resorts in 1

Located in the heart of the Alps, Courchevel and its 6 villages offer you enchanted forests and wonderful landscapes. Its 6 villages are linked and accessible by ski lifts or shuttles (free). But it is possible to walk and access the villages directly by ski. It is ideal for beginners with its 21 green runs. Courchevel will also please the more experienced skiers with its 41 blue runs and 36 red runs. This resort offers a particularly warm atmosphere, and breathtaking panoramas.

Located at an altitude of 1850 m, Val d'Isère is known worldwide for its quality services and elegance. Its 80 slopes are made for all, beginners or experienced. 7. Avoriaz, when nature rises

Ecological and entirely accessible by ski thanks to its entirely pedestrian and snowy village. This resort prohibits cars, transforming the streets into ski slopes.

9. La Rosière 1850, Italy at your fingertips

La rosière 1850 is located, as its name indicates, at 1850 meters of altitude on the communal site of Montvalezan. The great strength of this resort, in addition to its exposure, is the relationship with Italy and the resort of La Thuile. Indeed, the San Bernardo ski area allows skiers to ski in France and in Italy. What could be better than a good pizza on the slopes?

The San Bernardo area is 170 km of slopes (81 slopes) very varied with 2 snowparks, 1 snowcross and 1 boardercross. Something to delight the whole family.

The resort of La Rosière is very friendly with a strong family atmosphere. It offers many activities. For example, it is one of the only resorts to offer heli-skiing (helicopter drop off and ski down) due to its proximity to Italy.
