Ski instructor and mountain guide

I've been skiing since I was a kid. I wanted to become a ski instructor but I never competed.

When I joined the army, I chose the mountain section in Bourg Saint Maurice, where I was convinced to take the ski instructor diploma.

So I became a ski instructor in the winter, and worked as a mountain guide in the summer to accompany clients on the most beautiful hiking trails in the Alps!

Guide in Val Thorens

Since then, I have taught in many resorts (Val d'Isère, La Clusaz, Courchevle, ...) before becoming a ski instructor in Val Thorens, which allowed me to discover many places. For me, the job of a ski instructor is close to that of a mountain guide because, in addition to the technique, the clients are there to visit and discover their environment. This double competence allowed me to become a real mountain guide in Val Thorens, and to adapt myself to the desires and the level of my clients.

What I like the most : being an off-piste guide in Val Thorens. I love to help people discover the mountain and learn the best practices, to transmit the history and culture of skiing.

I like to vary the experience, I can go from a freeride guide in Val Thorens, to a beginner course, or to an initiation in the snowpark.

A little anecdote: sometimes in the evening, I take my clients for the last run after 5pm. When we arrive at the top of the chairlift, we witness a magnificent spectacle. We are there in front of the setting sun, with the mountain only for us.

For me, it's like being a guide in Val Thorens.
