Antoine : ski instructor in Risoul

I'm originally from Avignon, so not really a mountain atmosphere ☺️. But my family loved skiing, we went every year! I lived abroad for 12 years and when we came back to France we would go skiing, even in the summer on the glacier of Tignes. That's how my passion for skiing was born.

As I have always been very sporty, I went to STAPS after my baccalaureate to become a sports teacher. But when I was in college, I realized that being a sports teacher was too general for me. I wanted to become an expert in a discipline to go into detail in the analysis of a sport and its teaching.

That's how I naturally turned to the State Ski Diploma course.

I obtained my ski instructor diploma with UCPA, in a friendly atmosphere. I started teaching in 2000 in Vars on the Forêt Blanche ski area. I know the area like the back of my hand and I am delighted to come back and teach on these beautiful sunny slopes ☺️.

I continued my career as a Head Instructor and then within the Pool Formation. I am now an instructor for holidaymakers who want to discover the pleasures of skiing and improve their skills. And the rest of the time, I am a trainer for young people who want to become ski instructors. It came naturally: I love this job and I love teaching.

For more than 20 years now I have been working to pass on the values of this wonderful profession and I am not ready to stop! I love to share my knowledge with skiers to help them progress, but also to understand their environment and to appreciate the ski area.
