There are many ski schools in Val Thorens and the choice can be complex. With more than 40 years of experience, ESI is a specialist in children group lessons, but not only!
The only group lessons in Val Thorens where you get the photos of your children taken by the instructor.
Our school is part of the International Ski School (ESI) network. Our instructors in Val Thorens are State certified, experienced and friendly.
Small-group lessons have been ESI's hallmark for over 40 years. In Val Thorens, the children are between 4 and 8 per ski lesson.
A ski school that helps you to develop a better relationship with your ski instructor. Our small team of ski instructors know their ski resort by heart. They are part of the International Ski School (ESI) network, which has brought together ski schools for more than 40 years.

Originally from the south of France, Chloé discovered downhill skiing at a very early age, at the age of 2 to be precise! From a very young age, skiing became a way of life. Our ski instructor in Val Thorens then continued in a ski club in Oron, a resort in the southern Alps.

Meet your instructor a few minutes before the start of your ski or snowboard lesson. The meeting point defined by default is located at the start of the Castor and Pollux carpet, on the main snow front in Val Thorens. You will find an ESI banner there as well as your instructor wearing the blue ESI outfit.

In private lessons, the meeting point can be changed on request.
The certified ESI Val Thorens ski instructors help people to progress in small groups of the same level throughout the week. Our lessons are composed of 4 to 8 people from beginner level (Cristal International) to advanced level (Cristal de Diamant).
As well as being the cheapest way to learn to ski, this format allows your children to progress in an open and playful atmosphere.
We strive to ensure the best match between the level of each lesson and people's expectations. This is why, at the start of each session, our instructors observe people's needs and reorganize the group to ensure the best consistency.
With the ESI Ski Family in Val Thorens, group lessons are simple, clear and fun. Here is how a lesson unfolds :
One week before the lesson, we will give you access to the Ski Family app, to have access to all of the lesson and ski instructor information.
On the first day, meet at the foot of the Castor et Pollux carpet, located in front of the Val Thorens tourist office, at the agreed time and date. Your ski instructor will be waiting for you there!
Make sure your child is equipped with his ski pass, sunscreen and ski equipment. Don't forget the helmet, which is compulsory for people up to 13 years old!

For more efficiency, the session takes place in small groups of 4 to 8 people.
On the first day, the ski instructor will take a picture of each skier in his best outfit and take advantage of the first turns to confirm the level of the whole group.
If necessary, ski instructors will reorganize the groups for an optimal distribution by level and age.
Let's go for the first lesson now that the introduction is done...
Every day (and not only the first day), the ski instructor will take pictures of your exploits! It would still be a shame not to remember your stay in the highest resort in Europe, right?
At the end of each lesson, find the highlights of your child's day in the app. You could view personalized comments from your ski instructor, find all the photos taken during the lesson and view your progress through your achievement badges.
On the last day, people will receive their medal and a full summary of their stay in the app's souvenir tab !
